Chestnuts

p16p02bv3s1rmd3ov1skjlk162k3

The chestnut is the fruit of the chestnut tree(Castanea sativa) of great longevity, high on average 15 to 20 meters, which belongs to the family Fagaceae, quality very common in the woods of Valfabbrica. Chestnuts are rich in starch (the cooking turns into sugars), fiber, potassium and B vitamins (especially B1 and B6). Typically, small chestnuts are intended to boiling while medium and large are more suitable for roasting, and these should be recorded before cooking with a shallow cut of 2-3 cm. in length, and require more careful cooking, on medium heat to avoid burning the outside leaving the inside raw.
