Found for the first time the name of "Villano" in 1219.  From the Book of Bensi which takes on a news story that Montevillano Perugia is known for many years, from 1319 to 1370 remained in Perugia. In 1828, Count John River at this place has a church dedicated to St. Francis, as well as a large property of about 1000 hectares of land that extended from Montevillano to Pieve San Nicolò and Sterpeto. Later, the church is dedicated to St. Anthony of Padova, where every year we celebrate the patron saint. Montevillano has a view to share 583 s.lm. From here you can see Perugia and various towns of Valfabbrica and all its territory, Giomici Poggi, Montecorno and Cucco, Monte Ingino with St. Ubaldo and part of Subasio.
